Maggie Callahan provides general legal advice to health systems regarding corporate transactions, regulatory compliance, and litigation. Maggie works closely with hospital systems, physician practice groups, and other healthcare providers.
Maggie earned her J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law and her bachelor’s from Georgia State University. During her time at North Carolina, she served as the Web Editor for the North Carolina Journal of Law and Technology and the Special Projects Coordinator (Cancer Clinic) for the UNC Pro Bono Board; was a member of the Carolina Health Law Organization and Women in Law; and interned with Appalachian Regional Healthcare System, Blue Cross Blue Shield of NC, and PRA Health Sciences (now ICON). She also participated in the Community Development Clinic at UNC, where she assisted with corporate and transactional matters for nonprofit organizations in North Carolina.
Before law school, Maggie was a Registered Nurse for many years, working in the Adult/Trauma Emergency Department and the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. Prior to joining MMM, Maggie was a summer associate at MMM.
