James is a Technical Advisor in the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice. James has a background in patent drafting & examination, engineering, and consulting.
Prior to joining the firm, James worked at an intellectual property law firm in Washington D.C., where he authored patent applications for international client companies in various computer and electrical technologies, conducted patent landscape analysis for client companies to gain insight into competitors’ patent portfolios, and revised applications to ensure compliance with the requirements of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). In addition to the experience mentioned above, performing prior art searches has allowed James to become well-rounded and very efficient at drafting high quality patents in a variety of technologies.
