Darla Grinstead McKenzie was a partner in the firm’s Real Estate Practice at the Northside (North Atlanta) office. She specialized in all areas of residential real estate, lending, development and finance and also practiced in the area of planned community development, representing developers, builders and lenders in planned communities and in the creation, documentation and financing of all types and sizes of planned real estate developments. She assisted with the formation of the ownership entities, the drafting of the necessary documentation and compliance with applicable statutes, including the Georgia Condominium Act, the federal Interstate Land Sales Full Disclosure Act (ILSA) and its state counterparts and the Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and FHA/VA approval process, when applicable.
Darla started practicing real estate law with Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP in 1981 and gained experience in a wide range of commercial and residential real estate areas, including acquisitions, sales, development, construction and finance.
