Beau Braswell leverages his extensive experience and knowledge of privacy law to help clients navigate the rapidly evolving legal landscape of data privacy and security, both domestically and internationally. He advises clients on compliance with various federal and state privacy statutes and regulations, as well as emerging technologies and industry best practices.
Beau is a former attorney with the Department of Justice, where he specialized in privacy and data protection matters. He served as counsel in the Drug Enforcement Administration and Office of Privacy and Civil Liberties for over four years. In this role, he advised senior DOJ officials on complex and novel privacy issues arising from national security, criminal, and civil investigations and litigation. He has also advised on the full array of private-sector data protection matters in over twenty countries and all fifty U.S. states as in-house counsel to a Fortune 500 company.
