Barclay R. Taylor is Chair of the firm’s Tax Controversy practice. Barclay represents individuals, businesses, trusts, and estates in all stages of disputes with the IRS and state taxing authorities. He represents taxpayers in pre-trial settlement and litigation before the United States Tax Court, Federal District Courts, and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims.
Barclay regularly assists clients with penalty disputes, lien disputes, tax collections resolutions, refund claims, employment tax issues, worker classification issues, reasonable compensation disputes, foreign asset reporting, voluntary disclosures, conservation easement disputes, employee retention credits, and more.
Prior to joining the firm, Barclay was a tax controversy attorney for nearly a decade at a tax-focused Am Law 200 law firm. Barclay also worked as an international tax associate at a Big Four accounting firm.
