Ashton E. King is Of Counsel in the firm’s Employment practice. Ms. King’s practice focuses on counseling and representing employers with respect to various employment matters, including hiring and separation concerns, restrictive covenants, internal investigations, policy and procedure reviews, and compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. Ms. King also negotiates and drafts employment-related contracts, including employment agreements, restrictive covenants agreements, and separation agreements.
In addition, Ms. King helps corporate clients by providing labor and employment expertise related to business openings and closings, mergers and acquisitions (buy- and sell-side), and other business transactions.
Ms. King’s practice also includes representing employers in lawsuits and administrative proceedings under Title VII, Section 1981, the FLSA, and other federal and state anti-discrimination and employment laws. She has experience in complex litigation and has assisted employers with investigations by government agencies, such as the EEOC and SEC.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. King practiced Labor and Employment law in the Trial and Global Disputes practice at King & Spalding LLP in Atlanta, Georgia. While in law school, Ms. King completed an internship serving as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Gail S. Tusan, Judge for the Superior Court of Fulton County.
