Andrew Nielsen is a member of the Corporate, Securities, Real Estate Capital Markets, and Investment Funds practices with a focus on representing issuers, investors, and funds in raising capital through securities offerings, joint ventures, and strategic corporate actions. He has significant experience in the areas of corporate finance, fund formation, joint ventures, private placements, federal and state securities law compliance, corporate governance, and general corporate law.
Mr. Nielsen works closely with executive management and boards of directors in structuring and consummating a variety of complex business transactions, including public offerings, private placements, real estate development joint ventures, establishing private equity funds and alternative investment vehicles, mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, restructurings, and reorganizations. He also regularly acts as outside general counsel and as special counsel to committees of boards of directors. Mr. Nielsen enjoys working with the Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta to provide corporate counsel for non-profit entities.
Mr. Nielsen graduated with honors from The University of California, Santa Barbara in 2008 and he earned his J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School in 2012 with a focus on business law.
