MMM’s Wyatt Kendall was quoted in Bloomberg Law regarding the recent U.S. Supreme Court decision, which now requires the EPA to provide additional details to wastewater systems on the necessary steps to prevent water pollution under the National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES).
Kendall offered insights on the court’s ruling, highlighting that it places a significant burden on the EPA and state governments to maintain the overall quality of the waters receiving discharged wastewater. However, he also noted that cities will “get more certainty about what they have to do to comply with permits even though it’ll be on the EPA to give them details about what those steps will be.”
