MMM Attorney in Daily Report “On the Rise” Feature
Atlanta (September 16, 2015) – The Daily Report, Atlanta’s daily legal publication, includes Intellectual Property attorney Daniel Sineway of Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP in its 2015 “On the Rise” class. The feature honors rising stars in Atlanta’s legal community who are under age 40 and, as the editor wrote, “destined to do great things in the law.”
The publication noted that it chose the candidates for what they’ve achieved as well as what they are likely to accomplish for the profession and their communities. Sineway is one of the youngest honorees at only 34 years old.
Sineway manages IP portfolios for public and private companies ranging from pre-revenue start-ups to multi-billion dollar enterprises. Clients say he often succeeds where others could not. One CEO said Sineway turned getting a patent, which used to be a “brain-damaging exercise,” into a positive experience.
The Daily Report profile quotes Sineway as saying his undergraduate degree from Ga. Tech in mechanical engineering is one key to his success; having the analytical mindset of an engineer helps him see and solve problems. He also puts himself in the shoes of clients who want to know how patents could improve their business.
“He has a unique talent of providing practical legal advice that is immediately impactful to his clients,” says John Yates, who heads MMM’s Tech Group. “It’s like he can read their minds and understand what’s important to them to grow their business and succeed.”
Sineway is MMM’s liaison with start-up hub Atlanta Tech Village. He launched an investor speaker series at ATV and often gives substantive presentations. He also volunteers with the Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta, offering valuable legal services to worthy nonprofits that could not otherwise afford help.
The Daily Report honored Sineway and others in the 2015 On the Rise class at a celebratory event September 16.
