ATLANTA (January 6, 2025) – Morris, Manning & Martin today announced that the firm has promoted three attorneys—Caroline Dorsey, Ashley Klein, and Mark Stern—to partner.
“It’s a pleasure to announce these promotions for three well-respected emerging lawyers whose practices speak to the breadth of our services,” said the firm’s managing partner, Simon Malko. “From intellectual property to employment matters, and from litigation to dealmaking, this partnership group has earned the trust of clients in a variety of areas that reflects the diversity of MMM’s capabilities.”
The firm’s new partners are:
- Caroline Dorsey is a member of the Corporate and Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation groups who advises clients on state and federal laws impacting employee benefit plans and programs. Before joining private practice, Caroline served as associate general counsel for the Georgia Municipal Association, Inc., where she advised on all aspects of the defined benefit, deferred compensation, and defined contribution plans administered by the organization.
- Ashley Klein is a member of the Corporate Technology and Intellectual Property groups. Ashley helps her clients identify, protect, and enforce their intellectual property rights in the United States and globally. In addition to managing her clients’ trademark portfolios, she has particular experience litigating trademark-infringement and Uniform Domain Name Dispute-Resolution Policy (UDRP) claims and regularly represents trademark owners in proceedings at the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB). Her clients span industries including AgTech, consumer products, ecommerce, daily fantasy sports, fashion, finance, food and beverage, hospitality, technology, and real estate.
- Mark Stern is a member of the Corporate, Securities and Corporate Governance, and Real Estate Capital Markets practice groups who maintains a broad corporate practice, concentrating in corporate finance and securities law, corporate governance, and transactional matters. Mark frequently advises on complex transactions, including equity and debt offerings, mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, as well as public company reporting requirements. Mark also has extensive experience representing start-up and development stage companies relating to financings and general corporate matters.
In addition to these partnership promotions, MMM also recently promoted four women to firmwide leadership roles. Kate Pearch and Lauren Stone joined the firm’s C-suite as chief strategy officer and chief talent development officer, respectively, while two other women assumed leadership of firmwide practice groups: Meredith Caiafa, chair of the Employment Practice Group, and Christina Graham, chair of the Commercial Real Estate Department.
