Atlanta, GA (September 2011) – Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP, a lead sponsor of 2011 Venture Atlanta and co-host of the Venture Atlanta VIP dinner, has announced a collaboration with Grant Thornton, Square 1 Bank and the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce for a video presentation of Atlanta Technology Growth – Past, Present & Future at the October 25th event.
The video will feature key technology leaders in the Atlanta community who shaped the current foundation for entrepreneurial growth in the city. John C. Yates, Chair of the Corporate Technology Practice at Morris, Manning & Martin and creator of the video, conceived the idea when reflecting on the last three decades of the Atlanta tech community for his blog, Yates Perspectives, on the MMM Tech Law & Business Report (www.mmmtechlaw.com).
“This video is a platform for our recollections of tech leadership lessons from Atlanta entrepreneurs, many of whom were pivotal in guiding the direction of our community,” said Yates.
Dozens of Atlanta’s tech pioneers were interviewed, including Dennis Hayes, founder of Hayes Microcomputer Products and the father of the computer modem; Tom Noonan, former chairman, president and CEO of Internet Security Systems, Inc.; Tycho Howle, founder, chairman and CEO of nuBridges, LLC; and Sig Mosley, President of Imlay Investments.
The video will be used to promote Atlanta's technology community and will be premiered at the Venture Atlanta conference in October.
