Atlanta (July 20, 2017) - MMM Sponsors Venture Atlanta for 10th YearAtlanta (June 2017) – For the 10th year in a row, Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP is a sponsor of Venture Atlanta – the region's largest technology investor showcase. Plus, MMM partner Chris Maxwell chairs the Recruiting And Screening Committee, which helps select the start-ups designated to pitch their companies to investors at technology innovation event.
In its first 10 years, Venture Atlanta has have helped companies raise a total of $2 billion with $14 billion worth of exit value. The 2016 event alone attracted 900 attendees and representatives of more than 125 funds.
Venture Atlanta 2017 will be held Oct. 11 and 12 at the College Football Hall of Fame. The event connects the region's most promising entrepreneurs and companies with top-tier investors, including local and national venture capitalists, bankers, angel investors and others who can help them raise the capital they need to grow their businesses.
Dozens of technology firms MMM has represented have benefitted from presenting at the conference over the years. Clients recently receiving funding include:
- Dinova Inc., which received a $3 million Series A round from Actuate Partners shortly after presenting at the 2011 event, and more recently a $40 million investment from growth equity firm Frontier Capital
- QGenda, which received a substantial growth investment from Francisco Partners
MacStadium, Inc., which recently received a significant growth equity investment led by Summit Partners, with participation from Noro-Moseley Partners. It also received a $3 million infusion from Silicon Valley Bank - Gro Solutions, which closed a $4.25 million funding round led by TTV Capital with additional investments from BIP Capital, C&B Capital, and BLH Venture Partners
