CHICAGO – January 4, 2023 — Morris, Manning & Martin advised The Betsperts Group in its acquisition of Bleacher Nation. The cash plus equity transaction makes this its fourth transaction to close in the last 18 months.
The Betsperts Group is home to one of the largest sports betting and fantasy sports audiences in the U.S. It grew revenue over 350% in 2022 and the new combined group published over 25,000 articles and more than 1,200 podcasts / live streams in 2022. Bleacher Nation began in 2008 as a blog focusing on the Chicago Cubs. In the last 14 years it grew to be one of the leading media outlets covering Chicago sports and major sports stories around the country.
The MMM team is led by Nick Foreste with Matt Carlucci in Atlanta. The transaction was announced on January 4.
