Atlanta (January 24, 2023) - The 2023 Georgia Legislature has a full agenda this year. MMM Litigation Partner Eric Larson hopes the General Assembly will look at getting more cases into the state’s business court. The court was established in 2020 so business disputes could be decided quickly in a forum that understands relevant business laws and issues. Right now, if one side objects, business cases are decided in regular courts, which tend to be overloaded.
"It's a tragedy in some respects that this court is so underutilized at the moment," Larson, told legal publication Law360. "For the court to continue to be successful, it needs more on its docket."
