According to Washington Business Journal, multiple law firms in Washington D.C. have begun to add government contract practice groups to their firm’s portfolio, which points to another sign of the economic bounce that comes with federal budget certainty and increased defense and IT spending.
The Journal spoke to Partner Andrew Mohr and Of Counsel Kelly Kroll following the firm’s addition of the newly formed Government Contracts Practice Group, which focuses on federal, state and local procurement, as well as administrative and contract law. According to Mohr and Kroll, joining MMM gives them access to corporate and technology that they can leverage in work for their clients.
This news is underscored by MMM’s expansion in D.C., bringing on eleven attorneys and patent agents, seven staff members, as well as expanding its Intellectual Property Practice Group.
