Morris, Manning & Martin advised Astadia, Inc., a global business consulting and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions company, in its merger with Theikos, Inc., a leading global developer and implementer of business technology solutions. The combined companies, which will operate under Astadia’s name, announced the deal March 25.
MMM’s Ed Hirsch, Lou Barbieri and Justin Smith delivered the primary legal services, with assistance from Brian Harris on employment issues.
The merger allows the combined firm to offer more services and solutions, with greater global coverage and a stronger commitment to quality. Astadia, which has offices in North America and Europe, gains a substantial operations base and development center in India, as well as coverage in Asian-Pacific markets.
“This additional capability is good for our customers and partners,” said Astadia CEO J. Ernest Riddle. “We can now better serve our customers around the corner or around the globe,” he added, noting that the companies complement each other in experience, geography, culture and vision.
SaaS solutions allow businesses to use reliable and scalable solutions without purchasing hardware and software. Astadia helps clients integrate and customize third- party solutions to meet their specific needs.
Jason Masciarelli, the CEO of Theikos, will become Astadia’s General Manager in the Asia-Pacific.
