Atlanta/Washington D.C. (December 18, 2020) - Morris, Manning & Martin has elected seven attorneys to the partnership effective Jan. 1, 2021.

Holahan is Of Counsel in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. Bibb, Foreste, Freda, Gorman, Marston and Stewart are associates based in Atlanta. All spend considerable time in service to the community.
Lori Bibb, who practices in the Corporate Group, concentrates on mergers and acquisitions (M&A,) private equity and other complex business transactions with a particular focus on insurance and technology companies. She chairs the Speakers and Program Committee of the Southern Capital Forum’s Board of Directors, serves on the Women’s Forum of the Atlanta Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth and is on the selection committee for the Georgia Fast 40 Awards. She is also a sustaining member of the Junior League of Atlanta.
Nick Foreste’s work within the Corporate Technology Practice includes venture capital and M&A transactions for tech-focused private equity funds and technology companies. He has extensive business experience from his time as the co-founder of a technology start-up. He is an advisor to the Atlanta Tech Village, a member of the Southern Capital Forum and a guest presenter at universities and conferences. Honors include recognition in The 2021 Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch for M&A and being named a 2016 Georgia Pro-Bono All-Star.
David Freda works in the Corporate, Tax and Commercial Real Estate groups. He focuses primarily on business transactions including significant tax issues for private equity real estate funds. His business experience includes owning and operating a consumer goods manufacturing-based company. The 2021 Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch selected him in two categories: Real Estate and Tax Law. Freda volunteers with the Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta, where he provides counsel to nonprofit entities.
Ryan Gorman is a member of the Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Practice. He assists clients with design, implementation and compliance for qualified retirement plans, executive compensation arrangements, severance programs, and health and welfare arrangements. He also represents clients in benefits and compensation aspects of M&A, financing and transactions including post-transaction benefits integration. The 2020 Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business ranked Gorman as an Associate to Watch. He is a member of the Worldwide Employee Benefits Network and Southeast Benefits Education Network.
Joe Holahan is a member of MMM’s Insurance and Reinsurance Practice and its Privacy and Data Security Group. He has extensive experience in the development and maintenance of captive insurance programs, M&A, restructurings and other transactions, and compliance. He is President of the District of Columbia Captive Insurance Council, a member of the board and Curriculum Committee of the International Center for Captive Insurance Education, and the past chair of the Vermont Captive Insurance Association Legislative Committee. He is also a frequent panelist for industry webinars and conferences.
Robert Marston is in the firm’s Commercial Real Estate Development & Finance Practice, where he represents clients in the acquisition, disposition, development and leasing of land and buildings. He also devotes a significant amount of his practice to representing lenders and borrowers in acquisition and development financing for a wide range of commercial projects. The 2021 Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch recognized him for Real Estate Law. He served on The Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta Advisory Committee from 2013 to 2015.
Bryan Stewart works in the firm’s Intellectual Property (IP) Practice, where he applies broad IP knowledge and strategic thinking to help companies of all sizes maximize value and meet business goals. He chairs the Board of the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) Manufacturing Society and is an Advisory Board Member of TI:GER® (Technology Innovation: Generating Economic Results,) a unique program for MBA students. He is also a member of the MMMPact Committee – MMM’s corporate social responsibility outreach – where he leads the 2020 Committee, an internal innovation group.
