MMM Adds Seven New Partners

Atlanta/Washington D.C. (January 11, 2016) – Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP has elected seven attorneys to become partners in the firm. Edward Hudson, Chris Maxwell, Corey May, Owen Pinkerton, Daniel Sineway, Nicholas Stutzman and Lynn Wilson assumed their new roles effective Jan.1, 2016. Maxwell, May, Pinkerton, Sineway and Wilson were promoted from within the firm. Hudson and Stutzman joined MMM from Hatcher, Stubbs, Land, Hollis & Rothschild, LLP and will practice in the firm’s residential real estate practice group.

The new partners represent a significant cross-section of the firm’s practice areas and office locations, including offices within metro Atlanta and Washington D.C.

Hudson’s practice focuses on residential and commercial real estate. He represents a variety of lenders, developers, builders, investors, buyers and sellers. Currently, he serves on the Executive Committee of the Real Property Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia.

Maxwell is active principally in the firm's general corporate practice, concentrating in mergers and acquisitions, venture capital transactions and general corporate governance matters. He focuses primarily on representing public and private companies, including private equity firms and their portfolio companies and family-owned businesses.

May has significant experience in nearly all facets of commercial real estate, representing real estate investment funds, institutional landlords, tenants, developers and property managers in the acquisition, disposition, financing, leasing and management of retail, multifamily, office, commercial and industrial projects.

Pinkerton counsels public and private issuers and underwriters on regulatory and transactional matters such as public and private offerings, and ongoing regulatory compliance with federal securities laws. In particular, he frequently advises real estate investment trusts (REITs) and business development companies (BDCs), with a focus on publicly registered, non-traded REITs and BDCs.

Sineway practices in all areas of intellectual property law, including patent prosecution, trademark prosecution, copyright and trade secret.  He has extensive experience preparing and prosecuting patent and trademark applications, managing national and international IP portfolios, formulating patent and IP strategies, and rendering opinions.

Stutzman represents a variety of lenders, developers, builders, investors, buyers and sellers in residential real estate matters. His practice focuses on residential and commercial real estate, wills, probate, contracts, small corporate entities and land disputes.

Wilson has developed a niche practice devoted to the representation of the FDIC in its foreclosure of primarily commercial real estate assets. In the past year, her office has handled over 263 foreclosure actions throughout 16 counties in Georgia. She also conducts and manages title examinations ranging from residential property exams to coordinating and conducting large commercial title projects for commercial and residential properties across the country.
