Atlanta (April 24, 2023) - HomeTown Health, a network of rural hospitals and partners throughout the Southeast U.S., held its 23rd Annual Spring Conference in April at Jekyll Island, Georgia. This event brought together key rural healthcare stakeholders, rural hospital leaders and staff, industry experts, business partners, and educational experts who share a commitment to the sustainability of rural healthcare.
MMM's Michele Madison, Partner, has a longstanding relationship with HomeTown Health and provided a series of legal updates at the conference. Michele addressed the end of the Public Health Emergency, the FTC's proposed rule to eliminate non-competes, the Rural Emergency Hospital final rule, recent HIPAA, cybersecurity, False Claims Act, and anti-kickback cases, and also considerations for 2023.
The purpose of the conference was to discuss lessons learned, best practices, and ways that rural healthcare providers can continue to grow through shared financial and operational solutions.
