Reports required under Georgia Senate Bill 433, which amended the Certificate of Need Law, O.C.G.A. § 31-6-1 et seq.,were supposed to be due by January 31, 2009 on state survey forms. However, the Department of Community Health (Department) has instructed that the due date for such reports will be extended until the Department issues the applicable forms. The Department intends to issue the Ambulatory Surgery Services Survey on or before March 31, 2009, and the imaging center survey on or before July 1, 2009. As set forth in O.C.G.A. § 31-6-70, reports are required from each health care facility operating under a certificate of need, including all ambulatory surgery surgical centers and imaging centers whether they are operating under a letter of non-reviewability or certificate of need.
