MMM has announced that Peter “Bo” Rutledge, currently the dean of the University of Georgia School of Law, has joined the firm as Senior Counsel in the Litigation practice in Atlanta. Rutledge will initially work part-time while continuing his duties at UGA Law, with plans to transition fully to MMM in the summer of 2025.
This significant move has been featured in Law360, The Daily Report, Bloomberg Law, and the Atlanta Business Chronicle, highlighting Rutledge’s expertise in international arbitration and complex litigation. At MMM, Rutledge will concentrate on expanding the firm’s appellate practice and using his international dispute resolution experience to strengthen the firm’s alternative dispute resolution practice.
Rutledge expressed enthusiasm about the move, stating that he is “beyond excited to work alongside a wonderful group of attorneys, some of whom were my former students.” MMM Managing Partner Simon Malko described Rutledge as “the perfect fit to take the firm’s litigation practice to the next level.”
