Blockchain is a shared, distributed ledger of transactions or data. The ledger tracks transactions, which are grouped together in a data structure called blocks. Multiple users can see and maintain matching copies of the ledger. Any change has a cascading effect, increasing security, efficient transaction processing and transactional transparency.
“Blockchain could affect virtually every business sector that relies on the movement of data and value,” Mills said. “It’s important that business leaders learn about its implications as quickly as possible.”
“It’s not a question of whether blockchain is part of the future,” added Singh. “It’s a question of what that future will look like. The blockchain ecosystem holds tremendous challenges, risks and opportunities. You should ask yourself, what role do you play in that future?”
“Beyond Blockchain 101” begins at 3 p.m. at MMM’s headquarters in the Atlanta Financial Center at 3343 Peachtree Rd. N.E. in Atlanta.
The $25 fee for those attending onsite includes a networking reception. The cost of the livestream is $15. To register on Eventbrite, click here.
