Atlanta (February 1, 2022) - Before he earned his law degree, MMM Chairman Gerald Pouncey worked as an engineer. His educational background helped prepare him to become one of the top environmental lawyers in the U.S. His alma mater - the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering at Auburn University - recently honored Pouncey and other outstanding alumni and staff as Distinguished Auburn Engineers. The honor, bestowed by the Auburn Alumni Engineering Council, is a formal recognition of their distinguished professional careers.
In addition to working on some of the nation’s largest environmental redevelopments, Pouncey has earned accolades including being named the Environmental Lawyer of the Year for Atlanta by the Best Lawyers® in America, an Energy and Environmental Trailblazer by the National Law Journal, and one of America’s Leading Lawyers for Business by Chambers USA.
Pouncey, a generous supporter of Auburn Engineering, is also the Chair-Elect of the Auburn Engineering Council. The alumni group supports the vision and goals of the College of Engineering. Council members provide leadership and participation in areas such as academics, development, governmental affairs and public relations.
