The Atlanta Business Chronicle’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Awards honor MMM Partner Dan Huynh in the Corporate Diversity Champion category. The category is for a leader of a metro corporation who has promoted initiatives, resources and/or community involvement in advancing diversity in the region.
Chronicle editors say the DEI Awards recognize the outstanding organizations and individuals in metro Atlanta who bolster equality across all areas of diversity including age, disability, gender, sexual orientation, race and religion.
In addition to representing technology companies of all sizes and sectors, Huynh is MMM’s chief diversity partner and co-chair of the Intellectual Property practice. He is committed to fostering the growth of minority attorneys at MMM, in his community and throughout the country. He creates and manages DEI initiatives related to recruitment, development, retention, professional well-being, and promotion of diverse attorneys and staff, monitors the progress of DEI initiatives to measure progress and advise on improvements and oversees various DEI certifications including Mansfield Certification and the Human Rights Campaign Corporate Equality Index.
The Georgia Asian Pacific American Bar Association (GAPABA), where he is a board member, nominated him for the honor.
The Chronicle announcement said winners were chosen from nominations by a panel of editorial staff and a selected group of advisors, including past honorees. Huynh and other honorees will be recognized at a ceremony later this year. You can see the full list of winners here.
