A U.S. District Court Judge in Alabama recently declared the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) unconstitutional. MMM Partner Matt Peurach spoke with The Business Journals regarding the recent CTA ruling.
“We expect that the Treasury Department will appeal the decision to the Eleventh Circuit court, so we will have to take a wait-and-see approach as to what happens on appeal," Peurach said. "In the meantime, we are hopeful that FinCEN will provide guidance as to what reporting companies should do, if anything, while litigation continues."
