NAIOP just released an updated analysis of the site plan and building permit review process. NAIOP first did this in 2021 but have now expanded their analysis to included 100 jurisdictions from 30 U.S. states and the Canada. Many industrial developers assume that the more populous and urbanized jurisdictions have better approval processes to meet their greater needs, but the results of the NAIOP study do not support this.
