If you're looking for an inspiring documentary, mark your calendars for March 24 when Refuge is released in movie theaters. The documentary takes place in the most diverse square mile in America--Clarkston, Georgia--and chronicles the unlikely friendship between a Muslim doctor and an ex-leader in the KKK.
MMM is proud to serve as pro bono legal counsel to the film. We are excited for the film crew to see their years of hard work come to fruition on the silver screen!
"Refuge" (March 24, theaters and on demand): The documentary is the story of Chris Buckley (left), a veteran and former leader in the KKK, who confronts his hate and finds healing when he forms a bond with Muslim cardiologist Heval Kelli and a town of refugees.
