Enterprise 2.0, or the evolving practice of integrating social media technologies into business applications, is the topic of a unique event sponsored by the Enterprise 2.0 Society of the Technology Association of Georgia. Morris, Manning & Martin Partner Paul Arne will lead a discussion of the legal aspects of the practice in an upcoming Round Table event. Other TAG Enterprise 2.0 board members will cover different topics including branding, PR and marketing, reputation management, open source and enterprise solutions. Halfway through the event, participants will change tables, and topics, to give them a wider view of the overall issue.
Mr. Arne’s discussion will examine how each new wave of innovation brings new tests for the law. For example, crowdsourcing (where the public performs tasks such as designing technology and analyzing data), open sourcing and mash-ups may require new interpretations of ownership and intellectual property law.
The TAG Enterprise 2.0 Executive Round Table will be held Wednesday, April 2 from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. in the Hodges Room of the Centergy Building, 75 Fifth Street in Atlanta. For more information contact Barbara Martin atBarbara@tagonline.org or David Cohen at David@equationarts.com.
The event is free to TAG members and $20 for non-members.
