New Business Intake & Conflicts Analyst — Atlanta

The Atlanta office of Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP is seeking a New Business Intake and Conflicts Analyst to assist our Conflicts Department.  The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctorate Degree (JD) required, or any combination of training, education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform duties of the position
  • Law firm experience preferred  
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Detail oriented with strong work ethic
  • Demonstrated ability to independently plan and coordinate work with others as necessary to bring projects to successful completion
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment and follow instructions
  • Ability to work with and maintain confidential information
  • Ability to communicate with attorneys and firm personnel at all levels
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel 

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the Conflicts Department’s intake of clients, matters, and requests from attorneys, legal assistants and other colleagues, while providing accurate and timely responses
  • Process non-financial client and matter information change requests in compliance with firm policies
  • Perform database research to facilitate processing of change requests
  • Perform routine quality checks of data management: client, matter, parties and blackbook conflicts data
  • Process and coordinate Departing Attorney reports and Matter Update reports and responses
  • Build, maintain and deliver a professional customer service attitude and relationship with all internal and external clients 
  • Assist other departments regarding inquiries for client/matter data reports
  • Prepare or assist with preparation of the Daily Conflicts Digest report distribution
  • Assist in administration of ethical screens and ensure screening records are complete
  • Coordinate the engagement letter and conflicts waiver processes
  • Assist with the department’s lateral conflicts check process
  • Provide Contextual analysis and critical assessment of new business intake reports, lateral hire conflicts checks, RFPs and other conflicts materials
  • Other duties and projects as assigned
