The Atlanta office of Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP is seeking a New Business Intake and Conflicts Analyst to assist our Conflicts Department. The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:
Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate Degree (JD) required, or any combination of training, education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform duties of the position
- Law firm experience preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Detail oriented with strong work ethic
- Demonstrated ability to independently plan and coordinate work with others as necessary to bring projects to successful completion
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment and follow instructions
- Ability to work with and maintain confidential information
- Ability to communicate with attorneys and firm personnel at all levels
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the Conflicts Department’s intake of clients, matters, and requests from attorneys, legal assistants and other colleagues, while providing accurate and timely responses
- Process non-financial client and matter information change requests in compliance with firm policies
- Perform database research to facilitate processing of change requests
- Perform routine quality checks of data management: client, matter, parties and blackbook conflicts data
- Process and coordinate Departing Attorney reports and Matter Update reports and responses
- Build, maintain and deliver a professional customer service attitude and relationship with all internal and external clients
- Assist other departments regarding inquiries for client/matter data reports
- Prepare or assist with preparation of the Daily Conflicts Digest report distribution
- Assist in administration of ethical screens and ensure screening records are complete
- Coordinate the engagement letter and conflicts waiver processes
- Assist with the department’s lateral conflicts check process
- Provide Contextual analysis and critical assessment of new business intake reports, lateral hire conflicts checks, RFPs and other conflicts materials
- Other duties and projects as assigned
