European Commission Announces New
Domain
The European
Commission announced that the new “.eu” top-level domain is
now available for use by qualified
entities in the European Union. In order to prevent abusive
registration by cybersquatters, a phased registration system is
being implemented beginning December 7, 2005. To read about the .eu

The benefit of registering a .eu top-level
domain is to aid
in protection of certain trademark
rights. If you already have a registered domain
using .com, .net, .biz, etc. and have an
established European presence or registered
trademark, you may be interested in registering .eu
