High School Internship Program – Washington, DC Office

Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP (“MMM”) is seeking qualified applicants for its 2024 Diversity High School Internship Program in Washington, DC.  MMM believes diversity is essential to delivering excellent legal services to our clients and community, and defines diversity broadly to include a wide variety of unique perspectives based on each applicant's background, experience, and personal story. Our program is a two-week, in-house internship designed to give high school students an introduction to the inner workings of a law firm and a professional office setting.

Qualified applicants will be highly motivated students who have successfully completed the 10th grade with at least a B average and who have a genuine interest in learning about the practice of law. The program will begin on July 8, 2024, and end on July 19, 2024. Students selected to participate will be required to work 30 hours per week (Monday through Friday, 9:30am-3:30pm) at our offices near Dupont Circle and will participate in trainings and learning opportunities as well as completing a variety of projects and work assignments. As part of the program, participants will write personal resumes and prepare for and participate in mock interviews. Each participant will receive a wage of $525 per week, to be paid at the end of the internship period.

The online application is linked below.  Please note that in addition to the Application Form (to be completed and submitted by the student), there is a separate Teacher/Counselor Evaluation Form to be completed and submitted by a teacher or counselor, as well as a Conditions of Participation & Parental Consent Form, to be signed by both the student and parent/legal guardian. All three parts of the complete application package must be received by MMM no later than May 1, 2024.

Applicants should be sure to read through the entire Application Form before completing it and follow all instructions carefully. Incomplete applications or applications received after the due date cannot be accepted. Applicants who are selected for the interview stage will need to make themselves available for a 15-minute virtual interview during the week of May 13th, 2024.
